HOW WE CAN HELP
Our Services
Whether you’re an individual who wants to learn more about mental health, or you’re an employer who wants to provide their staff with mental health training, we can help you!
Mental Health First Aid Training
When it comes to mental health, would you be able to recognize the signs of someone struggling? How comfortable would you feel talking to that person? Would you know where to begin with offering help? Mental illness can impact anyone. We know 1 in 3 Canadians will be impacted by a mental illness in their lifetime; it could be you, a loved one, a friend, or a co-worker.
So what is Mental Health First Aid? This training is internationally recognized and produced by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. Similar to physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid equips learners with the skills and confidence to help someone experiencing a decline in their mental health, or even a mental health crisis. First Aiders also learn how to foster their own resiliency to maintain their mental well-being.
This 1-day certificate program will enable you to:
Have conversations that encourage a person to:
o Talk about declines in their mental well-being
o Discuss professional resources and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being
o Understand how to reach out to these supports
Actions to maintain one’s own mental well-being
